Did you believe that connecting your Christianity to the American dream was the right thing to do? Did you believe that because you are a Christian and American that your hopes and dreams were sacrosanct?
You probably thought that because we call ourselves a Christian nation, we automatically have God on our side. I know I did.
You probably thought that because we call ourselves a Christian nation God would spare us pain. I know I did.
You probably thought that God would bless us over and over again no matter how many sins we committed, because we call ourselves a Christian nation. I know I did.
So how long is it going to take you to admit that we were all wrong? Will it be when the government comes to get you? Will it be when the world blows up? There are rumblings everywhere and though no one knows exactly what’s going on, one thing is for certain: there will be pain.
I suggest we all get our mental houses in order. No matter what faith you hold on to you better hold to it at its core. The American Dream is dead. I suggest we all find something a whole lot better to live for.
